The BBC has issued a brief that it is looking for companies to submit ideas for immersive experiences. The winning submission will receive up to £100k in potential funding for their project and will be released via their audience facing testing program BBC Taster.
According to the BBC:
“We are interested in developing services that target younger audiences, especially in the 16-24 age group, as research tells us that younger audiences are more likely to share and engage with content where they have a more personal involvement in the experience.
We are looking for ideas that use the latest immersive media technologies and formats, such as virtual reality, augmented reality, binaural audio, emerging gaming technologies and other immersive media techniques where audiences become part of the story.”
The deadline for submissions is August 28, 2015
