Qualcomm Vuforia has just announced their new Vuforia 5 SDK featuring Mixed Reality and Eyewear Support. Vuforia is a crucial piece of software that connects the dots when developing mobile augmented and virtual reality applications.
Some of the new added features include:
- Mixed Reality
- Natural Interactions with Virtual Buttons
- Hands-Free Apps for Enterprise
Two exciting additions are the Google Cardboard support as well as the ability to add navigational elements, which previously were very difficult to implement.
We will be digging in to all the new features and doing reviews with our results as soon as we can. In the meantime, check out the Vuforia developers site and download the SDK’s yourself. Includes support for Android, iOS and Unity.
